Bas Godska (49) zet zich met zijn stichting Netherlands for Ukraine in voor Oekraïense strijders, die bij gevechten aan het front ledematen verloren hebben. Hij en zijn vrouw halen ze naar Nederland, waar ze prothesen aangemeten krijgen en mogen revalideren.

De Nederlandse stichting NL4Ukraine haalt gewonde soldaten naar Nederland en lapt ze hier op. Eenmaal hersteld, moeten velen weer terug naar het front in Oekraïne. Het afscheid van hun familie valt zwaar.

A year has passed since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, and almost one year of existence of our Netherlands for Ukraine Foundation. ‘Ukraine is unable to treat all its patients due to overloaded and/or destroyed hospitals. Other European countries receive some of these soldiers and other patients. Also the Netherlands.’
